B&J Engagements

I was at her 5th birthday party, but I was 14 :) Her big sister and I have been best friends for 21 years.
She's all grown up now!
Now this beautiful, smart and talented chica is getting married.
What a lucky guy!

They are so in love.  It was so sweet to watch them interact and so easy to shoot!

I could tell you where this was taken but then I'd have to shoot you.  I'll take it to my grave because you'd never believe where it is and was a gem of an idea from the bride!

This is one of my favorites of the session.  These trees are HUGE and spaced *just right*

A little different perspective.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

It's been a summer whirlwind of photos and I've finally reached the point where I can't pause to dedicate blog entries to each session (oh but I will!), so heres a preview of what I'll be working on until sometime next winter...actually next week.

M&M Engagements

M surprised M by flying across the country to bring a beautiful ring and make it official.

He was clever enough before getting on the plane to ask her about her taste in engagement pictures so he could pack the right clothes for a session.

As her mom put it, "Her head was in the clouds!"

This one is my favorite.  Especially for an engagement.

Val & Lance Pleasant Grove Engagements

In this great old house we had incredible backdrops with damask wallpaper and old woodwork & windows.

and yet another awesome interior across the street.

This is not your grandmother's engagement picture.

The light was so fun to play with indoors.  It streamed through windows and created shadows in corners.  You gotta work with it.

It was freezing! But they played it cool.
